Barb + Dan Tied the Knot | St. Charles Country Club

Barb and Dan had a chic red, ivory and gold winter wedding with stunning details. An intimate ceremony and brunch reception took place at the Morton Arboretum with close friends and family. After the ceremony and brunch, there was a designated nap time and then the festivities continued in grand fashion at the St. Charles Country Club. Seamlessly coordinated by the lovely Tiffany of Soirèe Chicago with stunning florals by Avant Gardenia. Amazing detail shots captured by Anthony Yoon Photography.  Barb knew from the get go she wanted the love bird theme, so we ran with it, creating a traditional monogram from the beginning that would later appear on just about everything for their big day. We loved this color combo, it was warm and wintery all at the same time.

Barb was very into the details of her event and it shows! The Oh Snap signs were sprinkled throughout both events to encourage those snaps! We also whipped up one our signature seating boards for the ceremony brunch to let guests know where they were sitting. We continued the love birds throughout all of their printed pieces, with hits of red and gold as well.

Traditional escort cards were used for the guest seating for the evening festivities. Aren’t the florals from Avant Gardenia absolutely stunning?

The menus were traditionally put together – but had a surprise twist on the back! Dan and Barbara are big karaoke fans and they encouraged their guests to take their best shot at the mic during the evening reception, how fun!

Dan’s family has a long standing olive farm back in Italy. For years their celebrations have always included olives from the family’s grove. These were jarred as the favor. We created the front label with their monogram and love birds along with a top circle label that has the Sergi family name and crest. Personal details like this are the true icing on the cake for any event.

LaToya + Johnny | Zhou B Art Center, Chicago

Mr&Mrs Wright-421

Can you say elegant and chic? This wedding had the ultimate WOW factor. Stunning bride, handsome groom and some impeccable decor and floral. Seamlessly planned by our dear talented friend Akeshi of Kesh Designs.

Zhou B Art Center was the perfect Chicago backdrop for this lovely couple. We first met LaToya and Johnny to chat about their invite. They knew they wanted a subtle Chicago theme with pretty details. We went with our skyline in a horizontal format with full gold foil to execute the look. And look closely at the bottom line of the invite, it reads: Attire: Black tie, jackets and jewels. I’m not sure we’ve ever printed anything with that much of a swanky factor before!  All wrapped up in our signature clutch in black shimmer. Check out the detail snaps below by the talented DFinney Photography.

We also had the pleasure of creating some amazing day of pieces for them as well. Ceremony entry signage, gold foil menus, champs tags and favor labels all carried the gold theme with hits of black thrown into the mix.

Champs tags have kind of become our signature item and we’re totally cool with that! Why? Because it’s a tag tied so sweetly to a baby champagne bottle! Who would not love these as a favor to take home and enjoy! Sip, Sip Hooray!

Our giant 24×36 entry sign for the ceremony with an overview and what was going to take place. How amazing does it look in this posh gold frame? Love!

Sweet Bride and Groom signs we created as a small surprise that were at their place settings.

Stunner paper alert! Thats black cover with a gold foil imprint for the entire menu. Talk about some drama tucked into that napkin. What a lovely statement against the white linen and place setting. Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs.!

Hello Yumm! A popcorn bar from Garretts might be the best late night snack! Guests got to take their goodies home in bags with custom labels we created to tie the entire event together.

Sarah + Joe | Reception Details | The Hyatt Lodge, Oak Brook, Illinois

Details, people, details! Sarah is an event pro herself and she knew from the absolute start that a wedding not to forget was all about the details. She covered everything and we were happy to go along with it, because the details were extraordinary! We started with the invite, handsomely designed to fit into our signature clutch with navy and gold accents. Sarah knew it needed a touch of sparkle, so we added that gold glitter backing. Sarah also knew she wanted the heart and infinity symbol tied together to be present on all of  their goodies, so we whipped one up!

Ceremony and reception both took place at The Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook and the details were fab! For starters we created a ‘paddle’ with a rating system al a Dancing With the Stars for the menus with a dance moves rating system and a SMOOCH METER, yes, you heard me right, a dance moves rating system and smooch meter! Menus on one side, the rating system on the other! So each table was set with random numbers on the paddles and a couple of super sparkly glitter #10’s were also in the mix. Also on the rating side with the numbers were what each number meant, coming up with this was some serious fun!

Here’s what they said:

Dance Moves:

5 – Two left feet, huh?
8 – Those are some sweet moves!
10 – #NailedIt

Smooch Meter:

5 – 2 years may not be enough practice
8 – Good thing this is adults only!
10 – Get a room . . .

So fun, right? Check out the guests waving their paddles in the air like they just don’t care!

Sarah and Joe also had us create the most darling tri-fold program for their ceremony. It included a tic tac toe board as well as the meaning behind all of the wedding vows, which was super interesting and something her guests enjoyed immensely. Here they are:

• Something Old represents Continuity •
Sarah has chosen to carry a handkerchief from her great grandmotherwith generations of family members’ wedding dates embroidered on it.

• Something New offers Optimism for the Future •
Much of what Sarah is wearing is new – her dress, her shoes, her earrings, take your pick!

• Something Borrowed is meant to come from a Happily Married Woman and symbolizes Borrowed Happiness •
Sarah could not think of a better person to borrow happiness and marital luck from than her mother. She is wearing the same garter her mother wore over 33 years ago on her wedding day.

• Something Blue stands for Purity, Love, and Fidelity •
What better way to pledge your love and fidelity to your groom than by including him in your something blue? Sarah has a piece of one of Joe’s blue shirts sewn into a heart shape in the lining of her dress over her heart.

Sweet personal details like this are what makes this job amazingly fun and always creative! Cheers to Sarah + Joe!

Ranking up there with some of our most favorite clients ever are Dan & Jorge! We started their paper journey with a Mad Men inspired Chicago skyline Save the Date. We printed it on Double Thick 100% Cotton Stock Cover and mailed it in a gorgeous matte grey envelope. Next up was their invitation and they knew exactly what they wanted. We chose the bright purple pocket for some punch and used their muted palette of purple and grey for all of the invitation pieces. For consistency, we mailed the invites in the same matte grey envelope repeating their gorgeous J&D monogram on the back flap. Their day of paper accessories were just as special. We created their program, escort cards, and their top secret favor tag. Their professional snaps are by Heather DeCamp Photography and gorgeous florals by Anthony Gowder. Coordination by the very lovely and talented Cassandra Vack of Anthony Gowder. Their ceremony and reception was held at The Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile.

Katie + Andrès // Laser Cut Clutch

Katie came to us with one idea – LACE!  That sparked our idea – LASER CUT DETAIL!

So we found a lace pattern to match her dress and incorporated it into every part of the invite. The most gorgeous part? The laser cutting done on the actual invite. Invite and cards printed on white felt and mounted to a shimmer clutch. Giving it the most beautiful tone on tone sophistication. It’s simply gorgeous.
